Based on a Bruce Lee’s idea for a TV series. His writings, drawings, character & scene designs elaboration of the environments of the set used in this action flick.

Production History:

Bruce Lee's brain child Warrior a concept at 1971 for a TV series based on life of a martial artist in the background of the old wild west of America, but he was having problems to negotiate with Warner Bros and Paramount Pictures about delivery of the unique product feed to the US audience. Bruce Lee's wife Linda Lee Cadwell told later the concept then launched at the name Kung Fu , starting David Carradine by Warner Bros but ignoring Lee's contribution, also they declare later that their two writers Ed Spielman and Howard Friedlander produce the identical content for some time. Creditable sources later explain that Bruce was not chosen because of his ethnicity and a Asian kind of strong accent. Shannon Lee daughter of Bruce Lee with famous nowadays Perfect Storm Entertainment produced Warrior to air on Cinemax. Well know Film Maker Justine Lin announce the director of the TV series action flick. The production of The Warrior started Cape Town film studios in South Africa in October 22, 2017. The first season of this well anticipated series worldwide with 10 Episodes. 

Starting: Ah Sahm a young man ending up in San-Francisco a journey by ship from China. Then in USA for cheap labors for mining, building rail road tracks etc. bringing people allover the world like Irish, Chinese, Asians, Africans list goes on. America just growing up its infrastructure then. The US is growing up in chaos, shurude politics & fraction of different races living there jostling for spot in economics.

Flowing Story Line: Ah Sahm sold to Chinese origin gang in china town just after set foot in us soil. There are many fractions from different origins. The China town then populated with mainly by Chinese workers, crime & drug related gangs used by many business man & political groups for their own interest. Chinese are chinks & sold gang member called onions. Just outside china town Irish works lived they called duck mixed in many shady activities also a vote bank for local politicians. Law enforcers then mainly police involved in many unlawful activities with other gangs & dubious politicians. They taking money for changing testimony of committed crimes & putting an innocent person in jail was a regular practice then.

Shows Environment: There are also legal/illegal bars, casino, taking relaxing cottage, brothel, street fighting for money all sorts of illegal activities happening all over the city including china town. The unspoken rules are chinks live in china town, Irish living outside china town called duck ponds & red Indians called yellow skin. In general fighting called scrapping. Illegal street fighting Irish group leader called the white mountain.

Twist in story: Ah Sahm came to land of opportunity because of her lost sister. Found out in a hard way that her sister is a rival gang member’s wife & controlling the gang in a cleaver & dangerous way for drug related trade & distribution, told him that she need no saving & content with her current position. His gang & her sister's gang fighting over share of opium supply turf in china town, fight between the tongs gangs. Spilling blood & many different form of martial style clashes among gangs with deadly weapons.

The Fighter: Ah Sahm build up in a character just like Bruce Lee in real life, just like shadow boxing with real opponent in the show. A man master in wing chun. Tai chi, kick boxing, kung fu & various martial art styles. A man of principal fight for injustice, protects the weak although his character is a gang member. It’s a gray line to hold on to your principal in crime zone during bad political fiesta all around.

Final but growing impression: It’s a wonderful series of action, adventure, drama, political plots, romance every ingredient to make it a cult favorite of all-time. It has full of colorful Asian cast members & every episode has a compelling story to unveil. Bruce Lee’s daughter Shannon take the initiative and truth be told based on real life historical scenario how American’s make its building block start of its growing multicultural economy driven society. Its full of action packed eastern & western base fighting styles based prime time show to follow. Bruce Lee will be proud how his creative vision bring back to life & this multicultural colorful bloody emotional past forgotten world with fast & furious actions just awesome.

When the police roughing up the Tong gang members in retaliation for their violence against each other. Meanwhile Zing and the Fung Hai make a entrance to show of a force to compel Mai Ling to honor her partnership with his gang. Burned by Buckley the deputy Mayor, Mr. Leary the white mountain decides to take matters into his own hands at Mercer's factory where they face fierce resistance from our hero Ah Sahm to save the common workers from violence against them. Fueling up to snap Ah Sahm out of his bad luck funk, Chao shares a harrowing story of personal hardship of bloody trail. Ah Toy preaches a philosophy not so historical message to Ah Sahm in name of Confucius : "In the middle of chaos lies opportunity."
